These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Drive An Hire website, customer portal, mobile applications, online booking platform and any other digital services operated by Drive An Hire Limited ("Drive An Hire", "we", "our" or "us").

These Terms apply only to the use of our digital services and website. Where you hire a vehicle from Drive An Hire, a separate Vehicle Hire Agreement will also apply and shall govern the rental of the vehicle.

Drive An Hire Limited is a vehicle rental company specialising in providing compliant private hire vehicles for licensed drivers throughout the United Kingdom.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By using our website or submitting an enquiry you confirm that:

3. Eligibility

To use certain Drive An Hire services you may be required to:

Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee approval.

 

Drive An Hire reserves the right to refuse any application or booking.

4. Vehicle Enquiries & Bookings

Submitting an online enquiry or booking request does not create a legally binding vehicle hire agreement.

 

A booking is only confirmed when:

 

•  eligibility checks have been completed; documentation has been approved;

•  vehicle availability has been confirmed; any required payments have been received;

•  Drive An Hire issues written confirmation.

 

Vehicle availability may change without notice.

5. Vehicle Hire Agreement

Where a vehicle is hired, you will be required to enter into a separate Vehicle Hire Agreement.

 

The Vehicle Hire Agreement governs matters including but not limited to:

 

•  rental charges;

•  insurance requirements;

•  driver obligations;

•  vehicle condition;

•  maintenance;

•  authorised drivers;

•  accidents; damage;

•  penalties;

•  deposits;

•  termination; 

•  return of the vehicle.

 

If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Vehicle Hire Agreement, the Vehicle Hire Agreement shall take precedence. This reflects the comprehensive contractual obligations set out in your rental agreement.

6. Customer Accounts

Some services require a customer account. 

 

You are responsible for:

 

•  maintaining accurate information;

•  keeping your password secure;

•  preventing unauthorised access;

•  notifying us immediately of any suspected misuse.

 

We may suspend or remove accounts where we reasonably believe:

 

•  false information has been provided;

•  fraudulent activity has occurred;

•  these Terms have been breached;

•  legal or regulatory requirements require us to do so.

7. Prices & Payments

Prices displayed on our website are for guidance only unless expressly stated otherwise.

 

Prices may change without notice due to:

 

•  vehicle availability;

•  operational costs;

•  insurance;

•  promotions;

•  market conditions.

 

All applicable charges will be confirmed before a Vehicle Hire Agreement is entered into. 

 

Charges relating to vehicle hire, deposits, repairs, damage, administration fees or other rental costs are governed by the Vehicle Hire Agreement.

8. Documentation & Verification

Before providing services we may request documents including:

 

•  Driving Licence

•  Private Hire Driver Licence

•  Proof of Address

•  Proof of Identity

•  Insurance Documentation

•  Right to Work documentation (where applicable)

•  Licensing Authority documentation

 

Failure to provide requested documentation may result in cancellation or refusal of service.

9. Driver Compliance

Drivers remain responsible for complying with:

 

•  licensing authority conditions;

•  DVLA requirements;

•  insurance obligations;

•  road traffic legislation;

•  local authority licensing requirements.

 

Drive An Hire does not guarantee your ongoing eligibility to operate as a licensed private hire driver.

10. Vehicle Technology

Drive An Hire vehicles are equipped with technology including:

 

•  GPS tracking;

•  telematics;

•  immobilisation systems;

•  vehicle diagnostics;

•  interior safety cameras;

•  exterior safety cameras.

 

These systems are used for fleet management, vehicle security, driver safety, passenger safety, insurance, fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.

 

Further information is contained within the Vehicle Hire Agreement and Privacy Policy. Your rental agreement also explains how camera footage may be reviewed and shared where necessary for compliance, accidents or investigations.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

•  upload malicious software;

•  attempt unauthorised access;

•  scrape or copy website content;

•  interfere with other users.
